1- Reputation: Become a public figure.

My public identity must be consistent with my personal lifestyle for my success and impact to be consistent. Who I am speaks more eloquently than anything I can say.

2- Referral

This is most powerful when my client communicates his enthusiasm for me in advance of my call.

3- Association marketing

Who is already respected in the field that I could begin to do business with?

4- Write an article or column

5- Advertise effectively

a) I make myself unique; I create a speciality.

b) I remember that quality is king.

c) I emphasize custom/personal care.

d) I use social proof: I emphasize my accomplishments, number of years.

e) I use humor in my ads as positive pattern interrupts.

f) I focus on action.

g) I make a believable promise that surpasses my competitors'.

6- Contribute to my community

I do it because I love it, because it's what my life is about, and others will see the true me.

7- Create a personal brochure.

8- Send a letter in advance.
